Fill the Quiet Hours Between Your Rushes

Busy at lunch, empty at three. Give people a reason to come when you have room — without discounting the hours that already sell.

Point Your Offers at the Empty Hours

Morning Bean fills at lunch and empties by three — regulars like Zakki never think to come at half past three. Drag the window to the hours you want to fill, then switch on a lever to see where it aims.

Why quiet hours stay quiet

Four Reasons the Afternoon Stays Empty

Nobody is avoiding you at three. They just have no reason to pick that hour over the one they always use.

Regulars come when they always have. Most have no idea that at three there is a free table and no queue.

The fix: a manual push to your Loyal - Regular segment a couple of hours before the window. Tick the schedule box and pick the date and time.

How push notifications work →

If coming at three earns exactly what coming at one does, the habit wins every time.

The fix: set happy hours on your quiet window. On stamp, reward and cashback cards, visits in it earn extra stamps or points; on a discount card, the discount goes up.

A discount across the whole afternoon mostly rewards people who would have come anyway — at the hour you are already full.

The fix: keep the window narrow, two hours rather than the afternoon, and never on a peak. Watch the average check to see what it costs you.

Protecting your average spend →

At three your office crowd is at their desks. The people free then are often different: students, parents after the school run, people who work from home.

The fix: a coupon card with its own link and QR code, shared where those people are, with an expiry date. Link it to your loyalty card so a first visit can become a habit.

How you will know

Three Numbers on Your Dashboard

Look before you pick the window, then again a month later. Compare the same kind of day with the same kind of day.

Activity graph The times when visits are most frequent

In the Performance section. It shows where your rushes are — and whether your quiet window is starting to fill.

Number of visits Every visit in the period

If the window fills but total visits stay flat, you have moved people out of the rush. That still helps when the rush has a queue.

Average check What an average visit is worth

Happy hours cost margin inside the window. If the average check drops a lot, narrow the window or trim the extra.

Quiet-hour questions

What Owners Ask Us

Yes. When you send a manual push, tick the schedule box and pick the date and time. You can send it to all customers or to one segment, such as Loyal - Regular. One well-timed push before your slowest day beats several spread across the week.
Only on a discount card, and only inside the window you set. On stamp, reward and cashback cards, happy hours add extra stamps or points instead, so your prices stay the same. Either way the window matters: put it on hours that are empty today, keep it short, and watch the average check on your Dashboard. If a discount lands on a busy hour, it mostly pays people who were coming anyway.
Not on its own. It works only in Apple Wallet, the radius is fixed at about 100 metres, and it fires every time a customer walks into that area — you cannot limit it to certain hours. It is good for catching passers-by at any time, not for aiming at three o’clock.
Yes — that is what happy hours do. Pick the time window, and visits inside it earn more stamps, added automatically at the scan. It works when stamps are earned per visit or per amount spent. Reward and cashback cards can do the same with points.
Then you do not have an off-peak problem — congratulations. Look instead at bringing regulars back more often, or at what each visit is worth.
